Golf Courses in Madeira

Golf - Madeira offers two championship courses on the island, Santo do Serra and Palhiero. Both golf courses are within easy reach of Funcha and with lovely views and excellent conditions.


The Santo da Serra Golf Club is a 27 hole course and was designed by Robert Trent Jones. The Santo da Serra Golf Club hosts the Madeira Island Open (part of the PGA European Tour) every year and is rated as one of the best in Europe.

The Palheiro Golf is a 18 hole couse and was designed by Cabell Robinson.

 

Porto Santo also has a golf course which was designed by Severiano Ballesteros, the former Spanish world champion golfer. The course includes two 9-hole circuits and a 9-hole, illuminated pitch and putt course, plus a clubhouse, putting green and driving range. This is a course that can be played all year round.
